The Unremembered, Unrespected and Unseen!

A fellow friend, wrote something about the hierarchy involved in getting declined to the bottom, based on his nostalgic blast from the past. You may read it here. So anyways, as I was reading it, I realized it made a plethora of sense. Tis’ rather sad how the brain refuses to register the small things that occurs around us.

Long story short, here’s the gist of his work…

It speaks of the story of a mother, who was, at one point the most prominent figure in her son’s life, eventually is demoted to the lowest level. It states how it first started with the teacher taking over, and eventually ends with how the girlfriend overtly expresses her prowess. It’s a good read, that I’d suggest anyone with a bit of time to go ahead and read.

The irony of the situation is how our good friend relates this situation to how he’d been replaced, much akin to an aging pair of sneakers. While it may be borderline over exaggeration, it does make sense. Our sensitive friend continues to state how he will continue waiting for the person to recognize of his entity again. What I like best is how he says, paraphrased of course, ‘ How it’s better to have some relevance in a person’s life than none at all’.

More power to you King! I hope you get promoted to the 3rd rung or so!

Cheers, from the depth of the 10th rung,

It’s not all bad to be the pair of sneakers that are forgotten until the rest of the shoes in the closet are worn out. There is a certain gratification in being the last resort, especially to the ones you care about. At the very least, you know for a fact they are never alone because you are there, waiting. Call me a loser (which I KNOW you will), but this knowledge in itself is a reward. It’s not easy to see things in this manner, but try a few shots of anything strong. It helps.

I gather that your fellow friend is shorty? Good shit. Reminds me of my inital blogging phase. Now pretentiously cryptic.

Anyway, I think that we go through phases in life and our priorities change. A mother may be important for a child but not to a grown man. To dwell on it would be… pointless. We still have a sense of gratitude and conscience but ultimately, people simply phase in and out of proirities.

If you suddenly are not witty or start losing your voice, I would slowly phase out of your life cause you’re boring.

Judene: I know… but I have to say this but, “Vodka?”. Hmmph.
