So it’s been close to two months since I’ve graduated, and an entire month since I’ve been back. A lot has happened, some fun, some less than fun, and some downright disgusting.
I’ve not been playing WoW or DotA as anticipated, and when I am bored at home, I do fill the time up by trying to finish Final Fantasy XIII. Since I got a free PS3 with a Television purchase, I decided to hack my older PS3.
Much has happened since the hacking scene for the PS3 kicked in {thanks to the Chinese Hackers and failoverfl0w} and as usual Geohot took credit for everything. Nonetheless, the hacking scene is now at a stage where they’ve introduced Custom Firmware {CFW} that you may use on your PS3.
The hacking was pretty flawless, and I decided to use a Russian hackers CFW, because hey, Russians are very good hackers. In about 10 to 15 minutes, the CFW was running and I installed a backup manager.
Now the PS3 is hacked, and it opens it up to a myriad of options! I’ve been using an FTP function to watch 1080p Blu-Ray movies in all her glory on my TV. I’ve been able to play some older emulated games on my PS3. The stretched image is far from perfect, but it’s a small price to pay to relive those nostalgic days!
Raya came and went, and I decided that I needed to get myself a decent wallet. I found one on Ebay of Australia and I had it shipped to me. Here are some unboxing pictures of my new wallet!
This is how the wallet was packaged. It was well packaged, and the box was sturdy and had little to no defects upon collection. I had to collect it from POS LAJU because there were no deliveries due to Raya. It would have been delivered had I waited till Friday, but patience isn’t what I’m known for.
Inside this cardboard box, was another black box. It was also undamaged, and looked pretty good. I was excited to get my hands on my new wallet!
Inside the black box was a black metal case covered by Plastic. The environmentalist in me was fuming, and I removed the plastic without any thoughts.
The metal case was reflective, and was pretty heavy. I was in awe the extent the manufacturer of the wallet went to for the delivery of his product. Such dedication is extinct in this day and age.
Opened the case and I was confused. There was no wallet? Have I been conned? By an Australian, no less? Did I fall for his Crickey Mate! I swear I’m legit? I was angry, but I thought to myself, perhaps he forgot to send me the wallet. Regardless, I decided to go through the contents.
Gran Turismo 5 for the PS3. Be Original, Buy Original?
Apex booklet included with pretty pictures!
Pretty informative with all kinds of information that has nothing to do with my field of study.
A keychain and a USB thumbdrive. Not too familiar with the size though.
Proof that it is a USB thumbdrive.
Another booklet that was included, which has in-game pictures of the cars available in GT-5. This is the elusive DB9.
A car model was included! It looks pretty authentic!
Orange! Oh My! Nais!
Seal of Authenticity by Daimler themselves? Wow!
When I removed the booklet and the car model, I was ecstatic and pleasantly surprised! The wallet was hidden underneath it! Here I was thinking the seller conned me, and BAM, there it is, as right as rain. Boy am I glad that I didn’t accuse the seller of conning me and making a fool of myself!
Yay, I’m happy. I’ve gotten the Wallet that I ordered! Now to fill it up with nice cards that are all either in severe debt or empty.
